Miniature Circuit Breaker:

The Miniature Circuit Breaker is also known as MCB, which can be fixed into the modern consumer units, replacing the fuses that were used earlier. The primary advantage of fixing a Miniature Circuit Breaker is that this device can be reset manually without replacing any kind of wiring. It has either a button or a lever to operate it. If this circuit breaker trips then it implies that there has been an overloading. It also indicates the probability of a short circuit.

Whenever the Miniature Circuit Breaker does trip that first thing that needs to be done to prevent any further complication is to switch off the mains of the consumer unit. Then the button or lever of the miniature device should be reset by pressing the button or moving the lever as directed. If in case the fault is not rectified, then it needs to be checked by electrician.
